Which membership level is right for me?
The member benefits included in each of the six membership levels vary significantly. Many companies need help to determine which level is appropriate for their specific business needs. To discuss what membership level is right for you, contact the Chamber office.
How can I find out about Chamber events?
The Chamber's monthly member newsletter, Network, includes a monthly calendar noting all scheduled events. The monthly Chamber newsletter, Network, and a complete listing of Chamber events can also be found online at www.ParkerChamber.com. Also available online are electronic forms to register for events or sign up to be an event volunteer. Most of these links can be found on the Home page of the Chamber's Web site.
How can I get the most out of my membership?
Members who see the biggest benefits from Chamber membership are those who frequently attend meetings, join committees and participate in Chamber programs. Fortunately, the Chamber makes it easy to learn how to be involved by offering Maximize Your Membership workshops. Contact the Chamber office to find out when the next workshop is scheduled.
Can I use the Chamber logo on my business materials?
Members may be given permission to use the logo on business materials through submission of a written proposal indicating the specific usage and distribution of the logo. Contact the Chamber office for details on required submission information.
What are the Chamber committees and how can I join?
There is an event committee for every major Chamber event, as well as the following program committees: ambassador program, government relations, and the scholarship committee are just a few. Each committee is led by a chair and vice chair. To find out who to contact to join a committee, visit www.ParkerChamber.com or call the Chamber office.
How can I start networking with other members?
There are many excellent opportunities to meet other members, exchange ideas and make business contacts. Some of the best events for networking are: monthly membership meetings, leads groups, Business After Hours gatherings and Brown Bag seminars. Check www.ParkerChamber.com or the latest issue of Network for a full listing of events.
Can my company get publicity for being part of the Chamber?
The Chamber helps its members build their businesses and raise their community profiles with publicity assistance. One of the most successful ways to generate publicity is to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for your business. Businesses that sponsor Chamber events can benefit from numerous promotional activities, including event flyers, press releases, posters and articles. Exposure in Network is also a great way to generate recognition - remember, the more involved you are, the better the chances of receiving recognition in the newsletter.
Will the Chamber provide me with referrals?
The Chamber never hesitates to refer Chamber member businesses and notifies you when we've made a referral on your behalf. During 2006, for instance, more than 876 referrals to member businesses were made.
How do I register for an event or member program?
To make the registration process easy for our members, we have two methods of registration from which to choose:
- Online at www.ParkerChamber.com
- Call the Chamber office at 303.841.4268 and one of the staff members will be happy to assist you in making your reservations.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
Each member program and event has a different cancellation policy, so please be sure to double check in relation to the program or event you are signing up for.
Monthly Membership Meeting and Luncheon: If cancelled before noon the week of the luncheon, a full refund would be issued. If cancelled after noon the week of the luncheon, we have included your reservation in the count and are unable to issue a refund. You may however, send someone in your place and if you could let us know who would be coming in your place, we would be able to ensure a smooth entry process at the luncheon.
Signature Chamber Events: If you are participating in any of the Chamber signature events (Parker Country Festival, Parker Community Expo or Taste of Parker), each event has it's own deadlines and cancellation/withdrawal dates. Please be sure to check the application forms for this information.
How are member event hosts and locations for the Monthly Membership Meeting and Luncheon and the Business After Hours determined?
Each year in October members receive a Promotional Opportunity form on which they may sign up to host one of these events.
Business After Hours is our most popular event to host and is the first member event to fill up and the host provides the location, food and beverage for 80-100 people. The Business After Hours hosting fee is $300.
The Monthly Membership Meeting and Luncheon fills up quickly as well. The Luncheon host receives five minutes to speak to the Luncheon audience and has a host/sponsor fee of $150. This is a great way to get in front of 120+ peers.
How do I become more involved?
How much time do you have? We love our volunteers and there are multiple ways to volunteer here at the Parker Chamber. There are many Ambassador committees (link) as well as Signature Event committees (link). As an active and dynamic Chamber, we have a solid core group of volunteers and look forward to adding new members to our growing list of volunteers.
