Announcing a new 10-month in-person leadership experience

for professional women in the Parker area.

The Parker Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of its new 10-month leadership development program to help professional women "achieve more, do more, and earn more." The Women's Experience will provide top-notch training for a select group of 15-20 women starting in January 2024. This first WE class will gather the first Wednesday of every month, from 12:00 - 3:30pm, to enjoy training on topics critical to women's success, including:

 

Resilience: Dealing with Crisis and Conflict

Sales & Presentation Skills

Setting Professional Boundaries

Boosting Professional Confidence

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Mental Health, Burnout, and Stress Management

Setting Professional Goals & Action Plans

Mastering Change and Career Shifts

Mentorship and Feedback

 

The program is FREE to participants.  Women in the program must be affiliated with a Parker Chamber member business or organization.  Participants will be required to commit to:

 

Reading a foundational book by the 1st session

Not missing more than one WE session 

Raising at least $1,000 to sponsor a woman for the 2025 class

Serving as a mentor after the program

Engaging in each session in a constructive, respectful manner

 

Whether a woman is a younger professional looking to boost her marketability for bigger positions, a woman who has started a business and is seeking some leadership training, or a seasoned woman looking to learn and network with an amazing cohort of women – the Women's Experience will help you make big moves!

Why invest in developing stronger women leaders?

According to a study by McKinsey & Company, companies with a higher representation of women in executive positions are 21% more likely to experience above-average profitability compared to companies with lower representation.

A report by Catalyst found that Fortune 500 companies with the highest representation of women on their boards outperformed those with the lowest representation by a significant margin, with a 66% higher return on invested capital.

The Peterson Institute for International Economics conducted a global survey of over 21,000 firms and found that having women in top management positions is associated with a 15% increase in profitability.

A study by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) revealed that companies with gender-diverse boards are more likely to have better corporate governance practices, including increased transparency, accountability, and risk management.

The World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2020 estimated that closing the gender gap in economic participation and opportunity could add $13 trillion to global GDP by 2030, highlighting the immense economic potential of women's leadership in business.
