Events Intern (Summer 2026)

The Parker Chamber of Commerce is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented events intern for Summer 2026. This paid internship is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in event planning, nonprofit work, or community engagement to gain hands-on experience supporting high-visibility business and community events.

Position Overview

The Events Intern will assist with planning, coordinating, and executing chamber events, working closely with staff, members, vendors, and attendees. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and a friendly, customer-service mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with event preparation, logistics, and day-of execution

  • Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, invoices, and contact lists

  • Support event registration, attendee communications, and follow-up

  • Communicate comfortably and professionally in person, by email, and by phone

  • Help manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Provide outstanding customer service to chamber members, sponsors, and guests

  • Perform general administrative support related to events and programs

Desired Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills (the kind that make non-organized people shudder)

  • Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.) and basic database management

  • Clear and confident communication skills (in person, email, and phone)

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities

  • High attention to detail

  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer-service orientation

Position Details

  • Duration: 10–12 weeks (flexible start and end dates)

  • Schedule: Approximately 28-34 hours per week (depending on events)

  • Compensation: $20 per hour

  • Location: In-office position in Downtown Parker, CO

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation and familiarity with Parker

  • Personal laptop and mobile phone; intern will be asked to use their own email (existing, or create one)

  • Mandatory availability: during the Parker Days Festival, June 15-17 (extended hours all three days); Wine Walk events: 5/29, 6/26, and 7/31.

Eligibility

  • College students preferred

  • High school juniors and seniors with strong skills and professionalism will be considered
